Lucía Alonso Díez

Lucía Alonso Díez holds a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Granada. Her interest in advanced training led her to Barcelona, where she completed a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Nutrition, Chronic Diseases, and Healthy Aging.

During her studies, she completed an internship at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, participating in a clinical trial on sarcopenia following bariatric surgery. This experience strengthened her passion for clinical research and allowed her to take part in both national and international conferences.

Driven by the need to address obesity from a bias-free perspective, she began her PhD focused on the stigma faced by people living with obesity. She currently combines her clinical and research work, contributing to a comprehensive and respectful approach to nutrition and health.
